Installation guide:

0. Jailbreak your iPod Touch:

Please read the Jailbreak part(after you see Cydia icon, then stop reading) of the following manuals:
Installation Picture Guide for IPT2 Please read the end part of this listing for how to downgrade from iOS4.2.1 or above to iOS4.0(Only for iPod Touch 2G and iPod Touch "3G" 8GB/16GB)

Note: for iOS 4.2.1, greenpois0n RC5 is ready for untethered (perfect) JB solution. (iPod Touch 2Gen can be downgraded to iOS4.0, iPod Touch "3G" 8G/16GB also apply)

1. After JB, pls Open cydia, manage, Settings, Developer (No Filters), Search, keyin "mobile substrate", click Mobile Substrate, install, confirm, wait until done.

2. How to install the iSky Phone

After installing mobile substrate, please run the Cydia, then follow the steps: (No. 8 - No. 18), then you will see four icons: Dail, GPRS, SMS and Radio. If any error occurs during the installation, please find a faster internect wifi connection place to try again and again, untill it is successfully installed.

2'. Installation by i-Funbox (without wifi):

NOTE: For some international user can not find anything in the source of http://coming.hk/cydia in step 15 above, please choose this way to install the iSkyPhone software. Country error will also be solved by this way.

1). Download the software

1.1 for iOS 4.x.x: “iSkyPhone_GPRS_2.1.7_OS4.X.deb” (http://ifile.it/9w7432y/iSkyPhone2.1.7.zip)

1.2 or for iOS 3.x.x: "iSkyPhone_GPRS_2.1.7_OS3.X.deb" (http://ifile.it/9w7432y/iSkyPhone2.1.7.zip)

2). Download the iFunBox from the internet and double click the file “iFunBox.exe” to open it. (http://ifile.it/hkyp3lq/iFunBox.zip)

3). Connect the iPod Touch with the computer(Windows PC or laptop) with the USB cable.

4. Click “Raw File System” to find the folder: “var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall”, If there is no such folder of Cydia and AutoInstall, create them(Note: case sensitive in iOS)

5). Click “Copy from PC” or Drag and drop, and then copy the latest and correct (3.x for iOS3.x.x, 4.x for iOS4.x.x) .deb file (installation package downloaded in step 1) to /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall

6). Restart the iPod Touch, sometimes twice. And then the icons of Dial, SMS, GPRS and Radio will appear on the screen.

3. Upgrade the firmware:

How to upgrade your C Peel's firmware

0). Make sure your iSky Phone software is the latest v2.1.7 (31 Jan 2011), if not, please update the software first:

0.1 wifi connection first

0.2 Cydia, Manage, Souces, iSky Phone, choose the corresponding iOS version, modify, upgrade

0. Remove YosionApp if you have previously installed the Apple Peel 520's software.

1. Off ipt and c peel
2. then on the c peel first
3. then on the ipt
4. wait 1 min
5. click dial, setting, about, update to v3.3
6. then press and hold (for 3 seconds) the power button of the C Peel, wait 5 seconds after the c peel is powered off.
7. click the Red button: "Update", you will see "Please hold down the power key" on the ipod touch's screen.
8. then press and hold the power botton of the cpeel again, do not release untill you see: "preparing,do not hold down the...." on the ipod touch's screen.
9. if you see the "prepareing,..." then release the power botton of the cpeel. then you will hear very lightly "gigi" sound from the back speaker of the cpeel. and see the percentage bar is going up.
10. then wait until it reach 100% ( around 5 minutes )
11. then press Yes. Done, then power on your C Peel again, then you can make phone call to have a test.

Any problem occure during the update, please try again and again. normally it take several times to make it. (if it takes one time, today is your lucky day. if it still fails after 10 times, you'd better try again after a cup of coffee)

Note: If failed after a lot of trails, please remove YosionApp(if installed previously), Remove iSkyPhone in cydia, remove both yosion.net and coming.hk, then add the sources again, then install the iSkyPhone. if the installation process is only severl seconds, then you need to "Modify", "Reinstall", usually it take 3-10 minutes.

4. How to add your own mp3 ringtone.

4.1 download the i-funbox from internet on your pc. (google it)

4.2 use usb cable connect your ipod touch with your pc. (google it how to)

4.3 open i-funbox.exe, then use the i-funbox to copy your own mp3 file to the folder: /Library/Ringtones/ of your ipod touch (google it how to use the i-funbox to copy file from pc to ipod touch)

5. GPRS settings: Access (APN) setting for Singapore user only.

Please click the GPRS icon: then type the APN under the field Access:

Singtel Postpaid: internet
Singtel Prepaid: hicard
Starhub Postpaid: shwapint
Starhub Prepaid: shwap
M1 Postpaid: sunsurf
M1 Prepaid: Not supported Yet. (SGD20 voucher will be issued if anyone can figure out how to set the M1 prepaid card. Thanks.)

Note: after set the correct Access, Leave all the other fields blank, then press Connect, then you will see connecting, after several seconds, "Connected", and now the wifi will be disabled, and there is a small "G" on top of the GSM signal, which stands for GPRS is connected.

•How to downgrade from iOS4.2.1 to iOS 4.0 or iOS 4.1 (only for iPod Touch 2G and iPod Touch "3G" 8GB/16GB)

•
This instruction is for iPod Touch 2G, if your iPod Touch is 1G, 3G (32GB) or 3G (64GB), stop here.
Note: IPT3 DOES NOT have 8GB or 16GB version, if you think your iPod Touch 8GB/16BG is 3rd gen. then you are wrong: it is iPod Touch 2G.

1. Please download the ipsw file for recovery from:

or
[ http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ ]

2. In your PC, please modify the file of C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts
Open "hosts" with text editor,
Add the below line to the end of this file.
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

3. Open itune, press the SHIFT of your PC keyboard, then click "Recover" button in itune, locate the file path of iPod2,1_4.0_8A293_Restore.ipsw, then click OK, to continue.

4. Wait until it is finished. Your iPod Touch will be downgraded from iOS 4.2.1 or above to iOS 4.0.

Note: With the above way, you can also flash your iPod Touch 2G to any iOS version. All versions of .ipsw files can be downloaded from http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
